Today there was a big thunderstorm. Luckily, our outdoor studio endured all the water and we could even continue painting. Already a second visitor told us that in the past, there had been Stations of the Cross in the niches around the church. They were painted on zinc and protected by wooden doors. Similarly, the premises of the church had gates on both sides. The calvary was allegedly taken away in 1950’s. The first article was published today in Lidové noviny.

Dnes jsme měli silnou bouřku. Náš venkovní ateliér naštěstí vydržel přívaly vody a my jsme dokonce mohli pokračovat v práci.

I have just come back from my visit to Oulomouch.
The thunderstorm was probably caused by me leaving going back to Holland...as I was quite sad.
I know I am only one of the many fans of Rob and Wim...and I don't bake cakes like the rest do (every day they get fruit and cakes and I heard even a massage now and then!!!) but I am really proud of them and the work they are doing. I was especially impressed with the first painting, when they put it in the place where it will be hung it looked like a window...making windows where there were walls before, that is something artists or other people I admire do.
Keep up the good work boys...if I could I would massage your necks whenever you were in pain...boy I might even wash your feet!
Liefs Laura
